Rationale
The challenge of better meeting the needs of Newark’s at-risk youth is great and can no longer go unaddressed if we are to keep the promise of all children graduating from high school prepared to succeed in college and a career.

Grants

St. Benedict’s Prep – $100,000

Funds to support the implementation, codification, and dissemination of the St. Benedict’s Prep student leadership model.

Pathways to College – $180,000

Continuation of Pathways to College, a college access program for at-risk youth, at Barringer, East Side, and Weequahic High Schools.

Newark Mentoring Movement – $80,000

FNF is providing startup funding to Newark Mentoring Movement, a new organization that will provide a collective support network to the many mentoring programs in Newark.
